Lost Dog is a finalist for the Rocky Award

Lost Dog has been voted a finalist in the Left Coast Crime Rocky Award for best mystery of 2007 set in the Left Coast Crime geographical region. I'm both stunned and thrilled to be included. The other finalists are C.J. Box, FREE FIRE, Margaret Coel, THE GIRL WITH THE BRAIDED HAIR, Tim Maleeny, STEALING THE DRAGON, and Twist Phelan, FALSE FORTUNE -- which puts me in some amazing company.

Killer Year Anthology Available January 22nd

Killer Year: Stories to Die For, edited by Lee Child will be released on January 22, 2008. Publishers Weekly calls is an "impressive crime anthology," and Library Journal says, "this one is well worth a look."

The anthology features stories from the thirteen members of the Killer Year, plus stories by illustrious veterans Ken Bruen, Allison Brennan, and Duane Swierczynski. Lee Child provides the forward, and M.J. Rose and Laura Lippman weigh in with meaty essays on crime fiction.

As part of the release, I'll be appearing with Killer Year member Gregg Olsen in Portland at Murder by the Book and Powell's, and at Seattle Mystery Bookshop. Other Killer Year members will also be appearing at bookstores and events around the country. Check out the web sites of all the Killer Year members listed at right, or visit the Killer Year website for more information.
